Dental Implants

can restore the appearance and the function of your missing teeth and are the most real, tooth like way to replace teeth.  When properly maintained, dental implants should last a lifetime. Dental implants provide the most natural replication of any dental restoration technique available today. Dr. Jason Cataldo offers dental implants for patients who have missing teeth in his Raleigh, Durham, and Cary North Carolina practices and in most cases, treatment can be completed in only a few appointments.

We use the best materials available for dental implant replacements.  Our MIS implants are made of surgical grade titanium and restorations provided are made of solid Bruxzir zirconium.  This is a MAJOR improvement over standard PFM (porcelain fused to metal) restorations and these restorations can withstand the rigors of daily use.

Missing teeth are an unfortunate but common occurrence. The majority of patients will eventually seek some form of tooth replacement, made necessary by injury, decay, or gum disease. Dental implants are a versatile solution that can be placed for single, multiple, or a full set of missing teeth. We use solid Zirconia for All-On-Six (full set of teeth on 6 implants), and Implant Restorations.

The Procedure: Dental Implants to Replace Missing Teeth

Dental Implants are comprised of a titanium post, an abutment, and a crown. During the procedure, the titanium post is implanted into the jaw bone. This biocompatible titanium will fuse with the jaw bone over a period of three to six months, creating a strong, stable anchor similar to the root of a tooth. The abutment serves as a connector for the dental implants and is attached to the post, rising up above the gum line. A dental crown that is shaped and colored to match your teeth is affixed to the abutment.

Dental Implants Replicate the Function of Missing Teeth

In this manner, dental implants replace missing teeth in much the same way they function within your mouth. Single dental implants mimic single missing teeth. This is even true of bone density retention. When a patient has missing teeth, bone loss begins to occur at the site of the missing teeth. Dental implants, however, stimulate the jaw bone and stop the deterioration process.

If you suffer with missing teeth, dental implants are the dental restoration solution that offer the most benefits to your appearance and your health.
